Gary Mazan and Mike Mazan have combined their passion for seafood and over 35 years of experience in hospitality to redefine the perception of an “oyster bar” in West Coast Florida.

Managing Partner/Chef – Gary A. Mazan

Gary Mazan’s passion for seafood began as a young boy while on family vacations to Cambridge, Maryland. Summer trips to the rural fishing town planted and cultivated an appreciation for fresh fish, oysters, and crab. Gary’s restaurant career began in his parents’ restaurant in Maryland at the age of 15 steaming crabs in the summer.

In recent years, Gary moved to Florida to work alongside MLB team nutritionists and trainers to revamp the team’s culinary and nutrition program. As Chef, he opened a brand new oyster bar in South Florida and a notable high-volume restaurant in West Florida.

Managing Partner/General Manager – Michael J. Mazan

Michael Mazan’s hospitality journey began at his parents’ restaurant in Maryland standing on a milk crate washing dishes.  At the age of 15, Mike began working the expo line at the restaurant, anxiously tasting each dish while sharpening his palate.

The opportunity arose for Mike to move on to a larger capacity, higher volume seafood restaurant in Maryland. He naturally developed a great passion for customer service. Mike developed and implemented the beverage program, worked with vendors, while training and developing Front-of-House (FOH) staff.  Mike too decided to pursue a lifelong dream of living in Florida.
